More trees for Nabitende: where can we obtain free seeds or funding to buy them?

Status: Just started
Step:
1

EFORDE have already given fruit and other tree seeds to several people in Nabitende and would like to provide more. To do this, they need to get access to free or reduced-cost seeds or obtain funding to buy these locally.

For this task we would like to hear from people who can suggest where EFORDE can obtain free seeds in Uganda or internationally, and ideas on organisations who can be approached for funding.

I have the form filled in but have failed to get the botanical or known names for the trees I need. The form is ready to be sent but I made a request from our forest officer with the names but has been busy with his bosses and workload heavy but is willing to give them to me. Here they deal with seedlings than giving or selling. Each tree seedling goes for different costs. This exercise seems easy but tough in making the seeds grow. We want to plant about 10.000 trees around the sub-county. Paddy. We can have cabbage, egg-plant,green/sweet pepper, tomatoes, and any other because I cannot tell what you have. With vegetables as long as one learns the methods of preparing, it works anywhere. Ken sent me a type like pumpkins but never got the seeds after because we could eat them at a tender stage, those I left to grow they got rotten, so I missed having more seeds.
