How provision of safe and clean water brought meaning to my life, Nakyerongosa, Uganda
My name is Mrs. Kamugisha Rose and I am 63 years old. I stay in Busujja village in Nakyerongosa parish. I had three children with two girls and one boy. I stay with my three grandchildren aged 3 and 4 years respectively. In August 2011, COMASA started collecting information concerning safe water coverage, hygiene and sanitation status.
“I was honored to be one of the beneficiaries of the water jar. The water jar has completely changed my life. Before I got the water jar I was tired of begging water all the time from my neighbors. I never had energy and life was dull and meaningless to me. I had no idea that accessing clean safe water would drastically change my frame of mind. I want to say thank you for providing safe clean water to my family and loyalty to me. It feels good to have water at the doorstep in my home where I do not have to beg water any more."
Rain water harvesting and utilization has now become part of me and is sustainable in my family. Over the past years, I had no hope that life at one time will be of value to me since I had no clean safe water and I am now proud and very happy and hope to live longer. The rain water harvesting system is in my home and is easy to use and I can harvest water at any time. Even if am not at home, I find water in my water jar.
I do extend my thanks to COMASA for having constructed a water jar in my home, and do appeal to all well wishers to assist COMASA to be able to do what they did for my household for other homes too. Many people are suffering with getting clean water when a miracle of the water jar can solve this problem.
