Dear Friends, I was just inform by Pelle that I needed to give more background information about my village in other to be qualified for an online help. I thought all this while that I was through. So permit me give some more info about my community and why we urgently need a school The population of my village is predominantly Hunters and farmers, forced into subsistence agriculture due to lack of access to markets. There is also a lone Government School. But parents find the fees very exorbitant compared to their meagre income. Parents have therefore preferred to use their children in the farms or when the opportunity arises traffic them for greener pastures. As more family members succumb to Aids, the problem becomes even more complex. In fact the scenario has been played out over and over again so that we have another peculiar problem of household headed and managed by children themselves.
Our intention to create this school is to give values child-centred education. Whereas government-run schools in Cameroon focus primarily on memorization and repetition.
I will be very happy if I can get more help on how to go about my village project.
