WANTED: Facilitator for the Odoot Kaberamaido Village in Uganda

It would be of great value if we get facilitator to help us link up with our neighbors.
Our Village is so disadvantaged in terms of economic development and education. A number of children have the potential but most of them end up dropping out of school due to lack of school fees.
***************************************************************
The following is a description of this volunteer role on Nabuur:
Online Project Manager
Known on NABUUR.com as a "Facilitator"
In this unique and rewarding volunteer role, you will:
* Expand your project management skills
* Build up a network with people from around the world quickly
* Get international and multi-cultural experience
* Have a direct impact on an entire community
* Add an official recommendation to your resume/CV
* From behind your computer and at the time suiting you best.
* Make a difference - and get an impressive experience too!
If you like to organize projects, work with diverse people, and mobilise volunteers to produce results, you could make a great Facilitator. A Facilitator is a host, moderator and project manager. (S)he welcomes new Neighbours, makes sure the Village website is up to date and looking attractive and defines the project plan, together with the Local Representative.
Being a Facilitator is a great responsibility, as the Facilitator is responsible for achieving results the Village is looking for. Just as the Neighbours, a Facilitator is an unpaid volunteer.
The bigger the challenge, the better the reward.
Being a Facilitator is a demanding job, because the Village is counting on you to achieve results. You will have to monitor online discussions, maintain resources developed by the Neighbours and ensure the project stays on track.
You will face unexpected difficulties. Just when you need to speak with the Local Representative, he can't get online due to a power outage. A Neighbour who promised to do a task doesn't follow through. Other Neighbours stop participating altogether.
Because you are all volunteers, you will have to find creative ways to motivate your team. You will need to be resourceful and persistent to keep the project moving forward.
The reward will come in photos of smiling faces from the Village and reports from the community thanking you and your team. From behind your computer, in just a few hours each week, you'll play a central role in helping to realize the dreams of a community.
Who can become a Facilitator?
If the following applies to you, you are encouraged to apply for the Facilitator position:
You are:
* Proactive
* A natural leader who know how to mobilise people
* Result-minded
* A team-player
* A pioneer who doesn't give up easily
* Equipped with excellent interpersonal skills online
* Facilitators have to be able to spend 6 hours a week on NABUUR.com, should be fluent in English, have daily internet access and should be available for at least 6 months - although we hope you'll stick around longer!
If this sounds like you and you are interested in taking on this role for the Odoot Kaberamaido village, please send an email to info@nabuur.com and you will be contacted with more information. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to post them here.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are brand new to the Nabuur community, it is highly recommended that you first become involved as a volunteer. This will help you learn how to use the website and better understand how the community functions. It also allows us to see that you are committed to the process, dependable, and that we can count on you to be a strong committed partner for the local representative.

we recommend any body willing to serve as a facilitator to this village

Thank you for your concern!
Michael and Esther we appreciate your support of Adi, but let's let Elamu Ronald decide what's best for his village. We'll wait to hear back from him.
Kind regards-
Jennifer
Thanks Michael and Esther for replying back. I exchanged few emails with Jennifer and she advised (as indicated in her reply) that its best we should wait for LR "Elamu" reply. I agree as he is close to the village and its people he might be a better judge on whether I can help his village or not.
I do look forward to work with you all and hope Elamu decides in my favor.
Thanks,
Adi
Dear ladies and gentlemen,
Thank you very much for being in touch and for the aspiration to reach the unreached.
I’m very sorry I have not been in touch for quite some time due to the difficulty for access to internet.
However I’m so glad to hear from you people.
In brief Odoot Village is still seeking for a facilitator and we really need one.
You are most welcome
Hope to be in touch
Elamu Ronald

Hands in service
Hi Elamu,
I am glad to read that I will be able to help the village. And I understand the challenge it could be to get access of internet back there, so please don't be sorry at all if it takes you time to reply back. I am assuming you will be the local representative for this village. I can send an email to Jenifer and get more details, but please feel free to write any ideas you have for this village.
Thanks,
Adi
