  • I thought this link might be useful just simply for information's sake as a reference.

It contains a lot of statistics about tourism in Nepal-including who is visiting, where they are from, etc.

  • Hi everyone-

Tejanath and I spoke yesterday for quite some time about the project. The local community remains very invested in further development of the website (www.makaluaruntreks.com). We talked a lot about the website being a tool for marketing versus the entire focus of the project. I explained that right now I feel the focus is a bit like putting "the cart before the horse." Tejanath proposed first developing the website and then coming up with a plan for approaching tourism. I explained to him that it should actually be the other way around.

  • Lotte-I couldn't agree more. Tejanath and I started to talk about this on Sunday. Tejanath maybe you can speak more about what Arun Valley Concern Centre's vision is for this project.

Tejanath this might be a helpful resource for your group to use when discussing how you would like the project to evolve:

  • Tejanath-

I came across this tonight and thought it looked like a good potential resource. It requires registration before you can use the tool, but says that it generates reports with the information entered that you can then use. Might be worth checking out:
