According to the present market price of materials, average cost for construction would be N.Rs.25,000.00(twentyfive thousand Nepalese Rs.). So we have to keep this in mind for the construction of latrines in the village.

Now that you have come forward with the cost a latrine for construction, can you also give the details of how many latrines you are proposing to construct in the village in total. So that we can give an estimate for funding agencies.

By the way, I think we have to make a sort of a Company/Organization Proflie of Sikharpa Village. The funders surely would like to know who will be the benificiaries, contact address, representative and etc. before they will consider.

It is good that you have come across a funding organisation. Now if you can further contact them on behalf of Sikharpa putting forward our village needs it would be of great help. What do you say?

Also we will be starting a new action needed for writing of proposals for funding agencies. We can get help from that section I suppose.

Below is the guidelines of Toh Kian Chui Foundation regarding grant application.

How To Apply For Grants:

Please contact Mr. John Tan at johntltan@hsbc.com.sg for an application form.

The application form must include the following attachments:

1. A financial statement (audited) for the most recent fiscal year.

2. A detailed breakdown of how the amount requested will be spent.

3. For requests of purchases of equipments, please attach at least 3 sales quotations

The Foundation is unable to approve donations for the operating cost of charitable organizations. All funds donated by the Foundation are intended to benefit the needy directly, or for specific projects. Hence it is unable to make general donations to charities.

The Foundations regrets that it is unable to accept appeals from individuals. It can only consider personal appeals sent on the recommendations of Hospitals, Health Centres, Homes, Family Services Centres, Community Centres, International or Local Charitable Agencies, Educational or other Singapore Government Institutions.

Post-Grant Evaluation

A post-grant evaluation report is requested at the end of each project. We require a final report containing a list of disbursement of grant fund spent. The report is to be submitted within 3 months of the completion of the project. Organizations which do not submit this report will not be eligible for future grants.

It is good that you haven't forgotten our last actions needed; if the action needed is completed that doesnot mean that you cannot send any information about the campaigning.

We are proposing to construct latrines in Sikharpa village in total of 175. Among the 175 latrines we have to include few public latrines also one latrine in School and one latrine near by main public place in middle of the village near a temple.

Now that we have got how many latrines are to be constructed, we need to find sponsors who fund such projects of latrines construction or sanitation programs. Let us see how many we can find. What do you say?
