[2] are there water or soil borne diseases? If this is so, there need to be strategies for breaking the cycle. If diseases are entering the skin, the feet, etc, there is a need to look to that. If the main problem is from things put in the mouth, that is simpler, proceed to question 3! [3] how is water handled? Is there any filtering system for drinking water? Simple small filters can be made with almost no cost. [4] How is food handled and stored? Do people share bowls? (In China, the government in the 1980s began discouraging people from taking food from a common bowl with the chopsticks they put in their mouths, to reduce hepatitis.
