Search for funding agencies in Nepal/Make a list

We need to look out for funding agencies as many as possible (starting with 5-10) and then contact them for our project.

Make a list with all the contact information (website address, email, contact person) and the organization overview (i.e. where they help, whether the construction of latrines fits into their mandate)

I'd like to ask if you already have contacted government agencies in your country. I think we can start there. International agencies operating in your country is a help too. we will try to find some.

I already contacted with govt.agencies. But there is no any program to support the latrine building program.

I am the new Facilitator for Sikharpa. I have made changes in the Steps and Tasks and I invite you all to make a contribution to one or more of them! :-D

I will be away for 2.5 weeks for a trip to India. In the meantime Romina Oliverio (romina@nabuur.com) will take over my duties. Sorry, trip was already planned before I became Facilitator... :-?

Rewati is also available for any questions you have about the project. I will be back on september 25th and hopefully I can close of a Task or two and post a result!

I do think it might be a good idea to contact a responsible tour operator, for advice about building laterines. Because they take care of foreign tourists, as a business, there is a great deal of institutional knowledge within their set-ups, of issues to do with sanitation.

Please contact Raj the founder and owner of "social tours", which is a responsible tour operator. He is a very nice and extremely helpful gentleman. It might be worth your while, to establish a relationship with his company - so that they could bring "volun-tourists", to your village on a regular basis.

Main funding agencies in Nepal are as followa :
The asia foundations, DFID, Care Nepal, UNDP,UNICEF, SNV, JICA, LWF, Karitas, GTZ, US Aids, CIDA etc.

Any input would be great! Any suggestions can be added directly to 'wiki' resource page. Please get as many details as possible including:
