Wakitaka is making great progress - and you can still help

Wakitaka Youth Group is growing steadily and making progress - we need your help with communications.

Dear neighbours,

Emmanuel and I had a chance to chat this week-end. The different projects are making very good progress. There are now 41 youth involved; the chicken have been re-stocked and another goat was handed out. But most importantly, several youth are now being better trained in how to run a business. They applied to a training programme by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and were selected amongst the last 30 projects for the semi-finals. One of the youth will attend a business writing seminar in Kampala this week supported by ILO. Afterwards, they will have to write a full business proposal to be considered by ILO.

Thanks to all the efforts made by neighbors the project has been developing so well and quickly. Emmanuel and I agreed that we could now close several tasks as they were completed or stalled for the moment. You can still find all the discussions under " Previous discussions", when going to the project room.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Emmanuel would like that neighbors focus their support for the moment on communications.

We are therefore looking for people who:

- Support Emmanuel and the youth in writing stories for the WYDG blog http://wakitakayouths.wordpress.com/

- Write little overview paragraphes on the different projects for the blog. http://wakitakayouths.wordpress.com/projects/

- Invite their friends to the WYDG facebook group http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=156029804055

- Have ideas on where to promote the WYDG blog and facebook group.

If you like communications and writing and would like to give a hand, please contact me either by replying to this news or the new task http://www.nabuur.com/en/village/wakitaka/project/task/support-wakitaka-..., or by sending me a personal message.

Thank you very much,
Maria
