Hi everyone,
Just a quick note to let you know that a new volunteer has expressed an interest in facilitating Wakitaka.
Emmanuel: I sent you an email about this, and introducing the new facilitator. If you didn't receive it, let me know as soon as possible.
Once the new facilitator and Emmanuel have had a chance to get to know one another, we'll introduce the fac here. :)
Romina
Hi Romina,
Thanks for the info. This is to let you know that I have received the email. Thanks so much.
Regards,
Emmanuel
Dear all,
Please join us in welcoming Maria, Wakitaka's new facilitator. You can read more about her on her profile here.
Maria, please feel free to introduce yourself here - and best of luck as you and Emmanuel work alongside the Wakitaka online village for the benefit of the community.
Best,
Romina
Dear neighbours,
Thank you Romina for introducing me. After a very instructive chat this morning with Emmanuel, I am happy to join the village as the new facilitator. I have to admit that I am new to Nabuur, so please be indulgent with me for any stupid questions. I still have to familiarize myself with the website and the different functions.
Just let me introduce myself:
My name is Maria, 24 years old, and I am originally from Germany. I am currently finishing my master´s degree in London/UK in European Politics and development studies. Before, I lived for almost four years in France, and I have to admit that this has become a bit my second nationality. I love travelling, learning languages and meeting new people an cultures; and I have a very keen interest in international development, that´s why I am here to get some hands-on experience and to help others to improve their lives. I have never been to Africa, but I interned in Mexico and worked for the development committee of the European Parliament.
I am looking forward to meeting you in the village and to bringing the village further together.
Warm regards,
Maria
Hi Maria,
Welcome to Nabuur! Let me know if you have any "silly" questions - I am the facilitator for Koliyonkulam in India and I will try my best to help you get your sea legs:)
Best regards and good luck!

Hi Maria
Its nice to meet you!
Lik Tanja I have also been with Nabuur for a while so know my way around the site pretty well if you have any questions.
Mary
Hi Neighbors,
Let’s all welcome Maria as the facilitator for Wakitaka! Maria, you are very much welcome to the village. Thanks for making such a good decision to facilitate the village. I am very glad that finally Wakitaka has a facilitator.
Regards,
Emmanuel Menya
Hi Maria,
You have a rich background. I believe you may be willing to have an extra time of teaching me basic French. I love this language and Iam yearning to know it. Or even connect me to someone who may volunteer to teach me.
Anyway, Welcome once more.
Iam Mary Lusambo based in Zambia, AFRICA and I am a Local Representative for Framar Village where we are looking into the plight of vulnerable children in the area of education. And we are also empowering older people with adult education and survival skills.
Simply go to our profile and learn about our village.
Nabuur is the best website I have ever come across in that it deals with people's lives. You shall surely fit in and your expertise shall be appreciated by many.
You are welcome.

Dear all,
thank you for your very warm welcome. It is very encouraging, and I hope we will have a good time together. I´ll definitely come back to you to ask advice; it´s always nice to have some more experienced people in the background.
In order to bring the project forward, Emmanuel and I discussed to divide tasks and to rearrange the discussion. I had a look through all your comments - it is really great what you have already contributed to the project. But since it took me hours to read myself through the comments, we definitely have to do something, and I think youself have already thought about it.
I´ll check with Emmanuel how to do it best, and then get back to you. So watch out for news about this.
kind regards,
Maria
