Hi everyone,
We are looking for ideas regarding the designs of the knit wear the women of Yoshinkhel produce...Are you a hobby or professional designer? Do you have any interesting ideas or really liked some design you once saw somewhere?
I was thinking it would also be nice in the online shops to offer the possibility for people to have names on the products they order...a baby sweater with the baby's name on would make for a great gift, no? We would need ideas for the letters...do you think the women could knit something like that?
Best, Angelika
Hey Angelika,
Do you still need help for this assignment? Because we are willing to help you on this task too, we could put some ideas for knitwear (clothing and toys) in our Worldschool project. We could look for patterns and working methods etc.

Hi there, I think if you were to get a booth up at a "Knit Out" taht talked about the knitting that is happening with photos and such and merchandise with a welcome for designs from the knitters in attendance, you might get some amazing stuff, and perhaps also a way to connect to a receptive, enthusaistic knitting audience. Here is the website that talks about the kind of event I am thinking of:
http://www.craftyarncouncil.com/knitoutbrochure.html#Mall09
also, an article in a knitting magazie of a knitters blog might really spread the word too, such as
knittingdaily@interweave.com
Just a couple of ideas.
Karen
Hi Karen,
Great idea! Do you think you could write a short article/mail to that blog about the project? Our neighbour Barb is currently drawing up a story and anjana's article (under resources) and the intro to the catalogue from mika (under tasks) is also a good starting point.
Thanks for your help, Angelika
