Inside story needed: the knitting program for women in Yoshinkhel, Nepal
Status:

Step:
6
Sabina has given us a status update of the skill training for women, that which has started with knitting training. The women are now trying to market the knitted goods. We need a journalist or copy writer that can tell the inside story. We'll use this story to contact potential buyers or organizations that can support the knitting training for the women of Yoshinkhel.
We need you to:
- Analyse the update
- Interview Sabina, or send her a list of questions she should answer
- Write an attractive story about this initiative.

Hello everyone,
I've taken up the task to write the inside story on the knitting programme. Being Dutch, my English is good but not impeccable, I'm afraid. I suppose the piece will need reviewing by a native English speaker. Know anyone? Want to volunteer?
Best regards,
Elly
Dear Elly,
First of all warm welcome on behalf of Yoshinkhel village and thank you for taking ownership for this task.
Best regards
Sabina
If you still need an English speaker to review the story, I can do it.
Dear Susan,
As I cannot get hold of Elly who initially signed up for the task - would you want to write the short news item ? That would be brilliant!
Best, Angelika

Dear Anjana,
Thanks for the wonderful story! I will try to contact Susan for the English proof reading.
Maybe you have an idea where we could raise attention with the article and raise some funds at the same time? Ideas welcome from everyone!
Best, Angelika
Dear Angelika
I think we can make use of it by printing it in daily newspapers.I will try to contact one of the national daily of Nepal.Otherwise we can post in different websites that features this type of story.I will try to find those types of websites as soon as possible.
Regards,
Anjana
Hi everyone, I had some spare time at lunch today so I started reading the article. Before I knew I was making some changes! So I have attached my version of the story- but I think we can improve it some more once we figure out which types of publications would be interested in publishing it. For example, a general socity website or local newspaper would probably prefer a story centred on Sabina and her work with the women. A magazine or website focussing on international Aid or volunteering or fundraising could change the focus onto Nabuur and it's neighbours- using Yoshinkel as an example of how it works. A business elated newletter etc would be interested in an article about the Yoshinkel women trying to improve their economic situation. See what I mean?
Anyway...as I said, I think we can still work on the article and derive a number of them form the good work that Anjana has done.
Regards
Carolyn
Hey there,
Thanks for the work and the great ideas! Yeah, I think if you have any contacts - or any neighbour has any, really - to magazines or newspapers which could be interested it would be great!
Best, Angelika
