Organise a fundraising event

Status: In progress

Once we have completed the needs analysis we will need the funds to buy all the material and labour we foresee in the construction budget: current estimate are some 4500 USD or 3300 EUR.

Who loves to organise big events? With a nice dance, dinner party or charity event it would be easy to raise what we need for building the education centre - the heart of our project!

Hey, that's great news!
Thanks, Andrew, for your support - and it's a great idea to sell to friends, etc., or they could also be good presents!

dear sabina,
i think you should sell your woollen products through the neighbours visiting you or in contact with you.they can sell your products in their own regions.all the neighbours must be told to advertise about your product in their respective regions and then order your products for the required sales.

Dear Rishav,
If we're talking about outside Nepal of course this is also a question of logistics, I could imagine, with many little orders...but now our new neighbour students from the netherlands will also look into this issue in the marketing task.

what type of marketing tasks are the netherland students doing??

Hi Rishav- the Dutch students have written an extensive comment under the section: Find a market for woolen products- where they outline what their intention is for Yoshinkel. It's admirable!

Simone posted this: Maybe it could be a good idea for a fundraiser in Kathmandu? What do our Nepalese neighbours think?

Hi,

My daughters school built a new hall last year and to help pay for it they sold bricks in the pavement outside that had the families names on plaques or carved in them as a fundraiser. That'd work to here to I think.

Hi Angelika,

What about to organise charity sale of our woolen products. If we found some org/individual who will be iterested to organise such charity sale in their surroundings. It will help to earn money to the women as well as get fund for children programs.

Build using plastic bottles. Very inexpensive. Much info on internet.
