Dear Sir/Madam:

It is kind to inform you that I am a Volunteer with the NABUUR Foundation (www.nabuur.com) - a Netherland based Non-profit Organisation.

I run a Registered Local N.G.O called Social Action For Community Development Society (SACDS) based in Nepal. It is a Non-Governmental, Not For Profit and non-political social organisation. We conduct adult training programmes for income generation and provide scholarships, care and tutoring for children from the small community of Yoshinkhel.

Yoshinkel is a very poor and disadvantaged community. Illiteracy is a major issue as only 20% of the community can read and write. Of this group only 5% of  the women are literate.Our neighbours at NABUUR have kindly assisted our group to develop a business plan which is attached. (We could attach a short version of the business plan to the letter) Our progress is continually updated on the NABUUR website and within our own organisation.

We are soliciting your support in order to fund the following projects:

1) The Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) project and

2) The Innovative Education Program

1.Early Childhood Education and Develpment Project

This project seeks to provide a safe educational environment for children 0 to 5 where the skills and potential of every child is nurtured. A daycare will be established to allow parents to drop their child or children off in the morning and pick them up at the end of their workday. While at the daycare, children will receive nutrituous food and engage in a number of educational activities that will provide them with a head start for primary school.

2. Innovative Education Program

The Innovative Education Program will offer a unique tutoring model, whereby older students called Didi and Dai will engage in a one-on-one mentoring and tutoring relationship with younger Students called Bahini and Bhai. These Didi and Daiwill read stories, do homework, and engage in other academic activities with their Bahini and Bhai. All participants to this program will be empowered, taken good care of and given fair treatment.

The total amount for the Early Childhood Education and Development Project and the Innovative Education Program are US$---------and US$---------,  respectively. Please find the detailed budgets and project proposals attached.
