Hello Pastor Fred,

Can you clarify a bit as to what you are looking for here? Are you looking for ideas to attract more visitors to the website or are you looking for someone to review the website and see ways to improve it from a marketing point of view?

If you are looking for was to increase traffic there are a number of things you can do:

1. Start a facebook page and link this page on Nabuur, the page on facebook and your website
2. Join other social networking groups such as Twitter (Maybe Romina knows more about these options....)
3. Start a blog and write in it daily to keep people updated
4. Make a video and post on Youtube

All of these should reference your website and the more links that you have going back to your website, the higher it will rank when someone does a google search. Also, there are ways to optimize your website for search engines (such as yahoo, google, etc). There are keywords that can be put on your site in the code/behind the scenes - but I am not an expert on that so you will need to find someone that knows how to do that.

Hey Barb, thanks for the advices and encouragements i like the ways your helping and i believe your helping as so much keep up that good Heart and with the website we wanted to market it so that we can be helped with our course in our village but again for now it is out of line because of dues.

Your most welcome and i fill like with you now , for the question our website this days it's not on line because same one who was paying hosting fees is very sick and he was just doing it for the goodness of the ministry meanwhile i have to find the solution soon with your advices.

Dear Pastor Fred,

Could you try to find out if what is missing is the domain and the hosting or if it is only the domain? I see that the domain expired, but its renewal would cost less than 10USD a year. If we need also hosting, we can use a free one (with advertising), unless we can find someone that lets us access to it.

Also, if the hosting expired and your developer remains unavailable, someone should backup all the information. Otherwise the website may be lost and not recovered. I am renting hosting space and would be able to store the information in a temporary way, but cannot guarantee that this will be available for a long time, as I am not planning to renew this once the contract expires, in few months.

Once you know this we can then see how to sponsor that domain (many times domain providers give them for free if the customer is a nonprofit organization) and how to store the information in a reliable and durable way.

Your advices means a lot, i have tried my level best to see that website be on line again but up to now the people who are responsible have not answered me , well being that i know the goodness of the website i have come out to look for other people who may help in this Area meanwhile i have well built website with me in Uganda but only being on line that's the problem and how to send to you ,if possible Noel you can help with same one who can help as in this issue of website being on line.

I'll provide free hosting to you with no ads but cant give you a domain for free but i recommend using our hosting and a .co.nr redirection which is free so your website address would look like www.Yourname.co.nr.

Pastor Fred- in your mind what is the MAIN purpose of the website? Is it to attract donations for GIDCCO?
What other information do you think is important to display?
I noticed that you've had a volunteer (Scot) work with you. Is Scott able to give us more inofmrtaion about what he found at Zabef? Is attracting more volunteers a priority for GIDCCO?

Is there any way we can access the old content? The website you had was looking perfect, really professional and with all functionalities implemented (included sponsorships). It would be great if we would be able to copy-paste the content from there into the new hosting site. It's a pity that such a nice work has to be repeated again...
