VROM is the Dutch name of the Ministry of Housing, Spatial Planning and the Environment.

VROM's goal is to make a policy in pace and harmony with current social, technological and political developments. We implement that policy in close co-operation with other ministries, local and regional governments, social organisations, businesses and interest groups as well as other national governments.

VROM allowed NABUUR a Grant in 2008 to develop strategies to involve specific target groups in the Netherlands which we are very grateful for.

The overall goal of Swedish development cooperation is to contribute to making it possible for poor people to improve their living conditions. By reducing injustices and poverty throughout the world, better opportunities are created for development, peace and security for all people and nations. In an increasingly globalised world we are all dependent on, and affected by, each other.

For several years, Sweden and Sida have been very much involved in the creation and development of both the UN Millennium Development Goals and the Paris Declaration. Historic decisions to promote favourable trends in this area have also been made in Sweden. In December 2003, the Swedish Parliament adopted the Government Bill, Our common responsibility - Sweden's Policy for Global Development (PGU), thus forming the basis for a unified policy to contribute to equitable and sustainable global development. This goal is not limited to Swedish development assistance, but applies to all policy areas.

NCDO stands for National Committee for International Cooperation and Sustainable Development.

NCDO involves people in the Netherlands in international cooperation and supports them with information, subsidies and advice. The millennium goals provide the point of reference for all these activities. In the year 2000, 189 countries agreed on these goals in order to reduce worldwide poverty before 2015.

In order to increase the potential for international cooperation and to give a higher profile to the millennium goals, NCDO organises campaigns, debates, educational activities, exhibitions, media productions and cultural projects. NCDO also highlights the efforts of government and citizens to achieve the millennium goals.

NCDO helps people and organisations in the Netherlands who dedicate themselves to improving the position of people in developing countries. It supports these local development projects with advice and subsidies.
