Almost every western country has an own National Volunteer Week. During this week organizations show their work and they try to attract new volunteers. The National Volunteer Week is important to get attention to the importance of voluntary work.

Every country decides itself what the activities will be during the National Volunteer Week. But these activities will of course always have to do something with voluntary work. Also certain volunteers will be put in the spotlight to thank them for their loyalty.
