Sustainable development is, according to the ‘Brundtland Report’ of the United Nations: a process of developing that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

Sustainable agriculture

NABUUR has an important issue that is a fundamental ingredient of sustainable development: Sustainable Agriculture. In many third world countries, agriculture is the main income generator. That is why it is very important to develop this income source further. Often citizens of the villages do have problems with their agriculture. Together with the online volunteers they search for solutions. We do know a lot more techniques that they are not aware of yet. We also have much more contacts over the whole world that we can use to help the citizens and give them the change to practise a better agriculture.
